Trading Systems Engineer

As Trading Systems Engineer, you will join the IT team that supports Fixed Income trading and brokerage activities. You will work both in project teams and independently on the development of new and existing products, and integration of 3rd party solutions. All projects you work on are directly used by trading, risk, mid-office and other colleagues so you can expect an intensely collaborative environment, smart and driven colleagues, short feedback loops, and a singular focus on achieving best-in-class execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be an all round engineer, from development to operational go-to person for trading technology-related matters & issues

• Monitor trading operations, investigate and resolve issues, identify and address bugs

• Improve data reporting related to trading activity, finance, compliance, and risk

• Project management (close collaboration with Front-office/Legal/Compliance/Finance & Mid-Office teams)

• Improve monitoring and alerting related to regulatory requirements and reporting

• Experience with software development, 3+ years development experience

• Development languages Python

• Experience with microservice architecture, development, and operations

• Database experience (SQL) and affinity for data analysis

• Works well in development teams, multidisciplinary project teams, and independently

• 1+ years of in-depth technical experience with trading or brokerage software (preferred)

• Living in (the area of) Amsterdam

• Excellent knowledge of English (any other language is a plus)
